Born of collaboration, built for transformation: preparing facilitators to serve consecrated life.

Facilitation for Transformation

PROGRAM DETAIL

Creating space for the formation of facilitators is the mission of Facilitation for Transformation.

Explore our purpose and how this program enriches everyone's ability to facilitate, promotes professional facilitation, and supports the expansion of facilitators in the service of consecrated life.

Program Features

Facilitation spans a spectrum of complexities: formal and informal, small groups, large groups, teams, congregational chapters, and general assemblies. This training program offers different opportunities to address these diverse areas.

Offered in multiple languages

This program is offered in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. We seek to ensure access for the broadest range of participants, knowing language is often an obstacle.

Structured for accessibility

Each phase of this program has been carefully thought out regarding how to create a learning experience using on-demand videos and virtual sessions. Travel is timely and expensive. Because of this, we only have one in-person session for those participating in Phase 3.

Diverse and professional faculty

This program addresses cultural and contextual areas of facilitation and hosts a diverse group of professional facilitators from around the world to ensure there is diversity of thinking and experience within cultures.

Program Objectives

Discovering the vocation
and role of the facilitator

Participants explore the deeper meaning of facilitation, recognize its vocational and ministerial dimension, and are supported in discerning the concrete form of facilitation they can offer effectively.

Acquire
professional skills

The program content provides an in-depth understanding of the core competencies based on the standards of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) and can serve as a pathway to professional certification.

Promoting accessibility
and inclusion

The program is designed to ensure inclusive access, both linguistically and financially, and is delivered primarily online, thus extending the training opportunity to those who would otherwise not have access to it.

Cultivating cultural and contextual sensitivity

The program integrates cultural perspectives and contextual dimensions, promoting facilitation that is mindful and appropriate to the diversity of the groups and contexts in which one works, offering tools to adapt respectfully and effectively to different environments and groups.

Supporting consecrated life and other faith contexts

Offering a comprehensive program for the training of facilitators, designed to meet the needs of consecrated life and applicable in other contexts, such as ministry and faith-inspired communities.
