FACILITATING IN THE EVERYDAY
We believe that everyone is a facilitator. In our regular daily life, we help people figure things out, ensure everyone is heard at a meeting, and so much more. We can all benefit from learning about facilitator and how to apply it in the everyday.
Free so there is no barrier to learn
Phase 1 is free and can be accessed by anyone who is interested in exploring facilitation and learning some basic skills around facilitating a small meeting. It is ideal for ministry settings, faith-based communities, and tapping into each person's ability to facilitate in everyday encounters.
On-demand videos to learn at your pace
Phase 1 offers a series of on-demand videos and a supportive self-guided process for the integration of the material. Phase 1 can be done at your own pace, over a few weeks to a year. It can be started at any time. Simply register.
If you have an interest to be a part of Phase 2, please keep in mind that Phase 1 needs to be completed (certificate received) by 10 November 2025.
Learn by yourself or create your own learning group
Phase 1 is flexible and open to all. With this comes some flexibility in its use. Do you have a group that would benefit from working through each section together? Each person can register and have access to the materials, then find a time to connect and discuss. Or, move through Phase 1 on your own. It is whatever works for you and your circumstances. You may have another idea. If so, let us know. We always want to hear about new ideas.

We offer this initial phase using on-demand videos, which allows this to be offered at no cost. We are grateful to the group of volunteers who gave their time to create Phase 1.

To help you deepen your learning, there is a guide that provides reflection questions and resource materials to enhance your experience.
It is available any time
Learn on your schedule and at your pace. You can also do this phase as a group, learning together. There are no limits! Well, there is one limit if you are interested in moving on with Phase 2. See the next box.
If you want to join Phase 2 and explore the core competencies of facilitation, you need to complete Phase 1 by 10 November 2025. This means do all the necessary steps to receive the certificate by this date.
